EBK Shines at the 2025 Nairobi International Trade Fair

The Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK) emerged a winner at the 2025 Nairobi International Trade Fair, hosted by the Agricultural Society of Kenya (ASK), earning its first-ever recognition in the event’s history. The Board received the “Best Non-Agricultural Based Statutory Stand” award during the exhibition held at the Jamhuri Park Showground from 29th September to 5th October 2025.

This year’s fair was held under the theme, “Promoting Economic Smart Agriculture and Trade Initiatives for Sustainable Economic Growth.” The annual event remains a premier platform for innovation, agri-tech, and trade exhibitions across East Africa, drawing thousands of visitors and over 150 exhibitors.

The award was presented by H.E. Dr. William Samoei Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya, on 1st October 2025, marking a proud milestone for the Board.

Registrar/CEO, Eng. Margaret Ogai, lauded the EBK exhibition team for their outstanding work and commitment during the event.

“We are delighted and grateful for the team’s dedication and excellence. This recognition reflects EBK’s growing visibility and the professionalism that defines our engagement with the public,” she remarked during her visit to the exhibition stand.

EBK’s exhibition was hosted at the Expo Centre, as part of the State Department for Roads’ pavilion, where the Board showcased its regulatory role, digital services, and engineering development initiatives. Visitors engaged with the EBK team to learn more about registration processes, accreditation of engineering programs, professional practice, and career development within the engineering sector.

The Board’s participation not only enhanced its visibility among professionals and students but also strengthened public awareness of its mandate, reaffirming its commitment to supporting Kenya’s journey toward industrialization and sustainable development.
