Otieno Abich is a Professional Engineer registered by the Engineers Board of Kenya and a Corporate Member of the Institution of Engineers of Kenya, with over fifteen years of experience spanning engineering practice, academia, and public service. He holds a PhD and MSc in Agricultural Engineering from Egerton University and a BSc in Agricultural Engineering from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. His career has focused on engineering capacity building, policy development, and strengthening linkages between industry, academia, and government. He has led the design and implementation of national internship frameworks and supported the professional development of graduate engineers, while also contributing to climate resilience and sustainable agriculture through applied research and community-based initiatives in semi-arid regions.
